Dumbarton North 2 - 5 Barcalomond
A hard contest between the two teams and the wind at Havoc saw Barca taking the lead with a ball played through to Sean from midfield. Dumbarton North equalised not long before half time.
The second half saw Barca continuing to play good football using the width of the park with some great runs from Daniel and Marc. Charlie battled hard in midfield and made some wonderful passes, he was unlucky not to score at least 2 goals after some wonderful shots. Barca stretched the lead to 1 - 3 before Dumbarton North pulled the score back to 2 - 3 and some nervous moments saw some unfortunate challenges flying in and Barca having to rearrange to deal with the knocks.
Sean made it 2 - 4 and Barca having taken command and playing some great football scored the goal of the game with a lovely left foot volley from Andrew that soared into the corner. 2- 5 Barca and a hard fought and well deserved victory.
Dalvait Red 0 v 4 Barcalomond
Another fine first half display from Barcalomond saw them take a much deserved 3 goal advantage into half time. More impressive than the score line was the continual effort to play passing football. From back to front improvements were again noticeable. Making a much awaited come back in his favorite position was Marc Donnelly who played at times as if he had never been away. Sean Stewart had his shooting boots on and scored the teams first three goals.
Second half was harder than the first as a heavy pitch and the first game on grass for a long long time took its toll. Jordan Butler sneaked in to make a cheeky back heel strike to grab Barca's 4th and the game's final goal. The only reason Dalvait did not pull two goals back was a fantastic triple save from Kris Millar and a goal line clarence from Jack Oliver. Another good team effort guys.
