Pre Season
With the new season almost upon us a few of the teams warmed up this week with some last friendly matches. Under 19's came out with a well deserved 2 - 0 victory against Oxgangs BC. Under 12's had a good win against Clydebank before the start of the 11 aside year and Under 11's also had a good win last week at Donald Dewer Centre. West Dunbartonshire Leagues begin next weekend 30 - 31st August. Islay Adventure
FC Barcalomond Team 97 were invited, over the weekend, to a seven aside tournament in Islay. A fantastic time was had by all, making many new friends and enjoying the wonderful hospitality of the isle. Despite only a quick kick about before taking the trip the ten players who traveled reached the final only to be denied in a nail biting penalty shoot out that went all the way to sudden death.FC Barcalomond left with some great memories of a fantastic trip and an invitation to return next year. Our thanks to the organisers of such a well ran event. Some photo's now online.

Goalkeeper Visit
Some young keepers were given a boost at training on 16 June when Queen of South Goalkeeper Stephen Grindlay arrived at training to run them through some extra training.
Young keepers from Dumbarton Riverside, Dumbarton Blacks as well as the keepers from FC Barcalomond all benefited from Stephen's training and
words of encouragement.
Some pictures of the guys being put through there paces can be seen here.
