Thank you to all the families on Islay for a memorable weekend again, 9 exhausted boys returned after a fantastic weekend full of stories of adventures and loads of new friends.
Well done to Graham Brown for organising the tournament that gets bigger every year, and finally to the weather that for once was fantastic... as Mr Hepburns red face will prove. I shall have some photographs on shortly and there will also be a link if you wish some official photographs taken on the day.
As part of our merger with Riverside and Dumbarton Academy FP's we are working hard behind the scenes to achieve the "Quality Mark" from SFA.
Our aim is not only to meet the required standard, but to surpass it and as such all coaches have been or will be attending a number of additional courses over the next couple of months.
FC Barcalomond are joining forces with two local teams to provide a player pathway from mini kickers to Amateur level.
Dumbarton Riverside, FC Barcalomond and Dumbarton Academy FP's will share resources and coaching to work toward an improved level of coaching for all.
Riverside shall coach teams from 5 years of age until under 10, when they shall then transfer to FC Barcalomond where on completion of under 16 they shall then move to Dumbarton Academy FP's.
We are also delighted to announce our first Girls Football Team, who shall be training over the winter before there season starts in March. The under 15's team consists of girls aged 13 and 14 years and if you wish more information please email.
